Tuesday night Payson Baseball squared up with the Juab Wasps.  In their first game of the season Tanner Manning had an electric night as he went 3 for 4 at the plate with 3 doubles.  Kayden Armstrong had the start and he pitched 4 ⅔ innings with 4 strikeouts and only gave up 3 hits. Daxton Bascom finished out the game with 5 strikeouts picking up the save.

Juab Wasps struggled at times from the plate, but #19 Mason Mangleson provided most of the offense with 2 hits on 2 at bats.  Pitching was strong as Wohlforth for Juab pitched 4 innings and had 7 strikeouts with 1 earned run.  But in the end, Payson pulled away in a 3-0 win. The game was Trent Syme’s first win as the head coach at Payson.
